WIX Filters Announces New AquaChek Gauge Kit

Tuesday, 31 October 2006

WIX Filters has released an AquaChek Gauge Kit, which consists of a WIX Filters’ AquaChek air drying filter for air tools and equipment combined with a newly designed gauge that eliminates the guesswork in changing the filter and stops water backflow through the system.

“The AquaChek filter extends tool and equipment life and provides a dramatic reduction in corrosion-related maintenance and repair,” said Bruce Johnston, brand manager for WIX Filters. “The new gauge kit ensures that users get the most life out of their AquaChek filter, without losing protection by waiting too long between changes.”

Simple to use and install, AquaChek is the first fully engineered spin-on filter designed specifically to eliminate moisture and rust in air-powered hand tools and equipment. The only solution on the market that addresses the number one cause of deterioration in air tools and equipment, the AquaChek filter features state-of-the-art polymer media that can absorb more than 28 times its weight in water. As water molecules come in contact with the polymer, they react with it to form a molecular bond that will never release, even if the filter becomes saturated
.
The AquaChek Gauge Kit saves shop workers valuable time by eliminating the need to manually check if the filter is full. By taking the guesswork out the process, AquaChek filters can be changed on time, which saves money by fully utilizing every filter and ensures equipment is not harmed by using a filter past its ability to perform.

The new AquaChek Filter Gauge Kit part numbers include ACKG-15, ACKG-25, ACKG-35 and ACKG-45. WIX will continue to carry the existing AquaChek Filter Kits without gauges, ACK-10, ACK-20, ACK-30, ACK-40.
