WIX® Filters Offers New Line of Bracketed Fuel Filters

Friday, 07 December 2007

In order to meet the needs of vehicle technicians, WIX Filters is now offering a new line of bracketed fuel filters for foreign nameplate vehicles. WIX Filters will grow the offering to 68 bracketed fuel filter part numbers by early 2008.

“With the continuing increase in foreign nameplate vehicles on the road, technicians have asked for a choice of bracketed fuel filters with the fit, form and function that matches OEM specifications and we’re pleased to be able to meet that request,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager for WIX Filters, which today offers 25 bracketed fuel filters for manufacturers such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Suzuki, Mazda and Kia.

Fuel filters remove dirt and debris from fuel, providing a clean flow of fuel to positively impact engine performance, fuel mileage and longevity. Many foreign nameplate automobile manufacturers, such as Toyota and Hyundai, have brackets on their replacement fuel filters. These brackets can make installing the fuel filter a less time intensive and a more familiar process for technicians.

The addition of bracketed fuel filters to WIX’s product portfolio adds to the depth and breadth of the company’s foreign nameplate product coverage. Meeting technicians’ filtration needs for more than 65 years, WIX has an extensive product offering that includes oil, air, cabin interior, fuel, coolant, and transmission filters.

Since 1939, WIX Filtration has been an innovator in filtration products. WIX designs, manufactures and distributes products for automotive, diesel, agricultural, industrial and specialty filter markets. Its product line includes oil, air, cabin interior, fuel, coolant, transmission and hydraulic filters for automobiles, trucks and off-road equipment. WIX, a member of the Affinia family of brands, is the number one filter in NASCAR and an exclusive NASCAR Performance Product. Its NASCAR relationship also includes the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award, which recognizes the drivers leading the most laps in each race. WIX Filters’ Internet address is www.wixfilters.com.
