Leeth, from Chillicothe, Ohio, earned the top spot in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup WIX Filters Lap Leader Award contest when Matt Kenseth led the most laps in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup competition at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Munroe, a resident of Salt Lake City, correctly anticipated that Mike Skinner would win the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award for his performance in the Craftsman Truck Series at Bristol Motor Speedway.
No fans correctly predicted that Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin would win the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award for their performances in the Busch Series events at Michigan and Bristol, respectively.
The WIX Filters Lap Leader Award is presented to the driver who leads the most laps during each race in NASCAR’s NEXTEL Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck racing series. The award includes a cash prize presented to the winning driver during a ceremony before the next race and a year-end payout and trophy for the driver who earns the most WIX Filters Lap Leader awards over the course of the entire season. Cash awards for the year-end honor are: $75,000 for the NEXTEL Cup Series; $20,000 for the Busch Series; and, $10,000 for the Craftsman Truck Series.
The WIX Filters Lap Leader Award contest enables fans to be a part of the action.
